While on-campus tours have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, virtual tours of the Department of Mechanical Engineering are available. These one-hour tours highlight facilities such as the Tech Spark maker spaces, laboratories, classrooms, and ANSYS Hall, a building that combines collaborative learning with hands-on making.
Since our department is unable to offer on-campus department tours at this time, we will be offering Zoom video conference Q&A sessions with department tour guides. These current MechE students will answer questions about campus, student life, and what it’s like to be a mechanical engineering student at Carnegie Mellon.
The sessions will last approximately one hour and will be capped at 25 participants per session on a first come, first serve basis. Please complete the Q&A Session Request Form.
Zoom video conferencing is required to participate in the tours. If you do not have a Zoom account, you may enroll here: Zoom Video Conference.
If you have any additional questions, please contact Alex Caprara at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Campus tours, interviews, and information sessions for prospective undergraduate students through the university’s Office of Admission have been cancelled until further notice.
