Carnegie Mellon University has moved to remote instruction. All on campus department tours have been cancelled until further notice.

When visiting campus, please make arrangements (see below) to schedule a tour of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. These one hour tours highlight facilities such as the TechSpark maker spaces, laboratories, classrooms,  and ANSYS Hall, which is a building that combines collaborative learning with hands-on making.

University tours

Campus tours, interviews, and information sessions for prospective undergraduate students through the university’s Office of Admission have been cancelled until further notice.

Department tours

On campus department tours have been cancelled until further notice.

Since our department is unable to offer on-campus department tours for the Fall 2020 semester, we will be offering Zoom video conference Q&A sessions with our department tour guides. Our tour guides are current MechE students who will be able to answer any questions that you have about the CMU campus, student life, and what it means to be a Mechanical Engineering student at CMU.

The sessions will last approximately one hour, and will be capped at 25 participants per session on a first come, first serve basis.

If you have any additional questions, please contact Alex Caprara at acaprara@andrew.cmu.edu.
