Students in this degree will expand their knowledge base beyond that of a typical mechanical engineering undergraduate curriculum while developing professional skills along the way. The degree must be completed in two semesters of full-time study (four semesters for part-time study).  

Degree overview

This degree provides students with significant flexibility to tailor their curriculum, and build on undergraduate fundamentals through graduate level courses. You will complete a graduate level math course, graduate level courses in mechanical engineering, and have the opportunity to take courses offered by other departments in the College of Engineering, School of Computer Science, and Mellon College of Science.

Tuition

Note that immigration regulations do not allow Carnegie Mellon University to issue visa documents for part-time master’s degrees.
